Every intelligent person must at some point face the inner arguments against the value of his or her being, the necessity of his or her existence. Such arguments come from within after grasping the interleaving patterns of both singularity and unimportance of the self. To observe one's self is to embrace the viewpoint of nothingness: both awe before essence and disdain for the finite. It is the ceremonial clash of such opposites that the unburdened one may call "madness".

Every little thing that yields to claim, is a thing to have.
For everything one has, there is a piece of bonding
And for every piece of bonding
There's a little something of us
Being relinquished.

The way to own is not the way of having:
To own means to control what you'd abandon.
